Ninety nine percent of the visitors are coming to view the magnificent scenery and wildlife. Most find hunting distasteful, sad, and probably would not enjoy their vacation nearly as much without the opportunity to see wolves, bear, elk, and other wildlife. Believe me that is what brings you back to Jackson. I am an East Coast resident, and not only do I work bringing in the tourists, I come here on vacation. I love this place, and hope they do not take the Grizzly bear off the list. It would be a tremendous mistake to potentially harm those beautiful creatures. Sincerely, Kathy Hartnagel 30 year Flight Attendant United Airlines and life-long visitor.

It is to bad that the golden goose that fuels our economy is only perceived as a 2 million dollar logistics problem to the Wyoming Game and Fish. When they solve their 2 million dollar logistics problem, they cause Yellowstone gateway communities hundreds of million of dollars.

It appears the traditional economic interests like ranching and mineral extraction are the only economies that interest our legislators and Game and Fish Department.

According to the help wanted ads, you are short on guides, maybe some of those out of work coal miners back in the eastern side of the state know something about nature and you could provide a couple of good paying jobs. It’s not coal mining, but they might learn to like it 🙂

What was I thinking? You would just have to fire them after the grizzly hunt commenced.
